Our Story

When creating the Tasmanian Wildlife Rehabilitation Sector Strategy and Action Plan 2022-2024 through public discussions, one key idea emerged: the need for a central body to drive positive changes in wildlife rehabilitation.

This body would offer guidance, direction, and coordination across the sector, connect with the Tasmanian community, and secure vital funding and resources.

This gave rise to Wildlife Network Tasmania and its Board of passionate individuals, dedicated to blending their love for wildlife with a clear purpose.

The Board consists of a diverse membership that brings together a deep understanding of the challenges faced by wildlife rehabilitators in Tasmania, along with the wide range of skills needed to ensure the success of the strategy.

Wildlife Network Tasmania is wholeheartedly committed to improving the lives of both wildlife and their caregivers, securing Tasmania’s position as The Wildlife State.

Wildlife Network Tasmania Inc. is supported by The Tasmanian Government.
